Very pretty makeup bag! Exactly as expected, the quilted texture (rather like a tapestry bag) is lovely, feminine, classic, and it’s roomy, too.I love it so much, I bought a second one to use as a clutch. I may or may not add a coordinating heavy trim or silky cord for a strap, but either way, I kept being tempted to take it out and about as a clutch, so I just got another one.As a clutch; it’s the perfect size, not too tiny as many clutches are, (often just barely big enough for a phone, ID and cash/cards, and a lipstick); but it’s also not gigantic, either. I can fit what I need without cramming things in it. I don’t need an inner pocket, though I could keep a zippy bag in lieu of one if necessary.As for its intended use, it’s also the perfect size, no more squeezing in that longer mascara tube or makeup brush at an angle into a tiny bag. Nope. It will all fit just fine. No wrestling required. I don’t have super long makeup brushes, but a longer one might just fit, but average ones will definitely fit just fine. A full sized toothbrush and toothpaste will also fit. Yea!As it is not lined with vinyl or any water resistant lining (a plus for me), I’d personally put any potentially messy items, like a powder compact, lipstick (lipstick lids have jostled their way off plenty of times), or makeup brush in a zippy bag, but I do that anyway, even with a vinyl-lined bag, just to contain any potential spill. The inside is canvas, the zipper pull is metal, but with a coordinating pink nylon zipper, which I appreciate; it gives it a softer look. Pretty and functional, what more can I ask?UPDATE: 4 months later, and I still love it! It's indispensable every day, and I use one for a clutch and the other for a medicine and quick essential needs bag. The clutch takes an absolute beating, haha, I'm pretty rough on it, for a fabric bag, so for that one, I use a clothes shaver to run over it and it's all good. Washable, I always wash such things inside-out (clothes hold up better when washed inside-out, but all the more so for things with texture), and in cold water, hand wash or.delicate machine wash, and lay them out to dry. It's holding up well, even when I need to cram something extra into it. The zipper hasn't protested that as yet.A quality-sewn product is appreciated, and a manufacturer who does so stands out. People will recommend and will buy another as I did, or as gifts when they know they can count on quality.I have had some compliments on it as a clutch. The right heavy duty coordinating (solid color, imo, one of the colors of the bag) tapestry weight ribbon or some such would make it into a good lightweight shoulder bag.
